Square has reported yet another problem related to the release of its first online game, Final Fantasy XI. Apparently several game packages were shipped with useless registration codes. Furthermore, the unique registration codes will become useless if the registration process is interrupted by a problem with the connection or the Playonline servers. Square has announced plans to deal with those issues from case to case, since the problem's cause has yet to be located.
