Final Fantasy XI Upgrade

Square has announced a major update of its online RPG, Final Fantasy XI, to commence next week. After the servers have been updated, the company will offer users a patch to download onto their PS2 harddisk drives. The update will feature tougher boss fights as well as new quests, enemies and weapons. Square recommends the update for download to experienced users, who are seeking new challenges.

The PlayStation 2 version of Final Fantasy XI was released in Japan on May 16th and has sold 102,000 copies since then. A PC version is set to be released this fall.
