Imperator Details

Mythic Entertainment, creators of the game Dark Age of Camelot, have recently released details about their new MMORPG, Imperator. Imperator is an Alternate Earth game that is set in a future where ancient Rome never collapsed, and continued to grow as a world power. Because of this change, civilization has advanced at a quicker rate. As the game begins, the player is thrust into the middle of a time period where new threats to the Republic have emerged, both internally and externally. The game takes place between 2500 and 3000 A.E. (Alternate Earth).

Players will take the control of humanoid characters, but there are no special classes because the game is a skills-based system. Imperator incorporates many aspects of Dark Age of Camelot into its gameplay, but will also integrate new gameplay features and systems. The game will have an extremely Roman-influenced setting, and will also have many different types of enemies to fight. Unlike Dark Age of Camelot, Imperator is not a "Realm vs. Realm" type game, and even "Player vs. Player" type instances will be rare. Mythic Entertainment promises additional information about Imperator during the following months. However, they still have no release date for the game as of this writing.
