Icewind Dale II Goes Gold

Interplay Entertainment Corporation announced that Icewind Dale II has gone gold and will be available at retail in early September. The game is the sequel to the award-winning PC game, Icewind Dale, and features the Bioware Infinity Engine that was used to develop such games as both Baldur's Gates and Planescape: Torment. Icewind Dale II uses the third edition core rules for the Dungeons and Dragons tabletop RPG. The game has a large assortment of new weapons, armor, items, spells, and character classes and expands on the gameplay elements of the original Icewind Dale.
