Famitsu has confirmed that the lead character, Osamu, in the .hack//SIGN TV series will appear in .hack Vol. 2: Malignant Variation along with another TV character, Mimiru. No other details have been revealed about what part the two characters will play in the game version of the story, just that they will lend to the overall mystery going on.
