Breath of Fire V Composers & Singer Announced

Capcom has just disclosed some information on the musical aspect of their upcoming RPG Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter. The composers of the game are Hitoshi Sakimoto (composition) and Yasunori Mitsuda (direction). The latter is better known for his work on Square's Chrono Cross, Xenogears, or more recently Xenosaga, while Mr Sakimoto has worked on Ogre Battle and Final Fantasy Tacics to name a few. They have already worked together, along with Michiru Ooshima, on the music of Legaia Duel Saga. The news is bound to please game music fans, as both composers are very popular.

Capcom has also announced that the game's theme song will be performed by Chihiro Onitsuka, a famous 21-year old Japanese singer who debuted two years ago and has since then been very successful, with a million-selling first album. Her strong, atypical voice and writing talent has quickly been recognized and will surely give the song a more unique feel.

Some music samples can be heard on the official Breath of Fire V website.
