Konami Posts Strong Financial Results

Konami Computer Entertainment Tokyo has released its financial results for the first half of the current fiscal year. Compared to the same peroid of the previous fiscal year, KCET managed to increase its net profit by the factor 3.1 to 1.5 billion yen (12.05 million USD). Sales reached 3.28 million units, compared to a projected 1.82 million units. The biggest contributors to these impressive figures were the company's two big PlayStation 2 titles, Genso Suikoden III and World Soccer Winning Eleven 6, which sold 400,000 and 1.31 million units respectively. Only the sales of the GameBoy Advance game Castlevania White Night Concerto, which sold only 150,000 copies, were behind expectations.
