New Final Fantasy X-2 Information

Square has updated the official website for its upcoming sequel to Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2. The Le Blanc Clan, the rival organization to Yuna and Rikku's Kamome Group, is headed by Le Blanc and her two henchmen Sono and Uno. Aniki and Dachi, crew members of Final Fantasy X's aircraft make a return as members of the Kamome Group. In addition a young, genius Al Bhed boy named Shinra, and Master, a blue alien-like creature and a Haipelo by race, will join them aboard the Celsius.

In yet another drastic change compared to the previous installments in the series, Final Fantasy X-2 features two new systems which will do away with the linear gameplay. The Mission Select system will allow players to choose which episode they want to play at which time of the game. Upon completing such an episode, a "mission complete" screen will appear and you can move on to the next mission. The Active Link system does connect those single episodes, by altering the story depending on which episode you choose to play at which time of the game.

Final Fantasy X-2 is currently set for a March 2003 release in Japan.
