Final Fantasy Origins Hands-on Impressions

With three games announced for domestic release this year thus far, Square EA LLC has been buzzing with activity. Today we take a much closer look at the first two to hit our shores, the collection of classics known as Final Fantasy Origins.

After more than a decade, Final Fantasy will return with a much needed facelift and Final Fantasy II will finally see an American release. While this PlayStation compilation is little more than a conversion of the WonderSwan Color editions, there's something to be said about playing these games on the big screen with nifty CG intros.

John spent a few days with a near final build of Final Fantasy Origins and offers us some insightful information on this upcoming collection. I've also provided links to the updated gallery and some of Yoshitaka Amano's fabulous concept art for the games. Enjoy.
