Gainax has announced that it plans to release a sequel to its adventure game Shinseiki Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend (known in the US as Neon Genesis Evangelion: Girlfriend of Steel). The game will feature 15 of the anime series' well-known characters. Just like in the anime, Shinji will play the main part, while Rei, Asuka and Kaworu will also play prominent influences. Depending on the player's choices, the latter three might get more or less affected to Shinji. The game will focus on the school life of the four characters in typical love adventure style. The voice actors of Shinji, Rei, Asuka, Kaworu, Kensuke and Touji have recorded new voice samples for the game.
Shinseiki Evangelion: Koutetsu no Girlfriend 2nd will be available for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP PC and ship on two CDs on May 16th at a retail price of 8,800 yen ($73.96 USD).
