Konami Posts Financial Results for 2003
Konami Computer Entertainment will post another round of impressive financial numbers at the end of the current fiscal year. While the company's (unconsolidated) ordinary profit has declined by 18%, it is still expected to beat earlier projections of 2.685 billion yen (22.78million USD) by 165 million yen (1.40 million USD). The company is now expected to post an ordinary profit of 2.85 billion yen (24.18 million USD), thanks to the strong performance of Yu-Gi-Oh in North America. Nonetheless, sales were down by 20% to 7.2 billion yen (61.09 million USD).
