NCSoft Announces Guild Wars

NCSoft has announced a new PC MMORPG titled Guild Wars, set to debut at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles (from May 14th to 16th). The new mission-based title will take players to a fantasy world, where they can engage in group and head-to-head guild battles, or go on single player adventures. By utilizing streaming technology, NCSoft will inform online users about the latest updates. Interestingly enough, Guild Wars will not require North American players to pay a monthly fee. Developed by Seattle-based studio ArenaNet, Guild Wars will be available in the second half of 2004.
