Bandai Posts Strong Financial Data

Bandai has announced better than expected consolidated sales of 244.95 billion yen (2.08 billion USD),an increase of 7.5% compared to the previous fiscal year. While sales in Japan increased by 6.3%, the company's sales abroad rose by 13%. Net profit for the fiscal year ending on March 31st rose to 12.67 billion yen (107.83 million USD), a plus of 19%. Reasons for the good results were, among others, strong sales posted by the company's video game division, responsible for the development of titles such as .hack.
