PS2 BB Unit Goes on Sale in Japan
06.12.03 - 8:09 PM

Along with the release of Koei's Nobunaga's Ambition Online and Minna no Gorufu Online, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has finally made its PlayStation 2 Broadband unit available via retail stores across Japan. According to a report from Famitsu, the demand in Tokyo for both Koei's PS2 MMORPG and the accessory was large. SCEJ was also offering a bundle, titled Broadband Pack (BB Pack), consisting of the hardware and its high-profile golf title Minna no Gorufu Online. The manager of a store in Shinjuku reported that in the early morning hours alone, he had sold more than 100 such BB packs.

Nobunaga's Ambition Online is the second Japanese MMORPG to grace Sony's console following Square Enix's Final Fantasy XI, which was launched in Japan on May 16th, 2002.
