Shadowlands Pre-Order Apartment Screenshots
06.18.03 - 3:32 PM

Pre-order goodies aren't something new in the gaming industry, but these rarely amount to more than a black T-shirt with a logo that most self-respecting gamers wouldn't wear around the house, let alone in public. For the upcoming release of Funcom's expansion to their long running sci-fi MMORPG, Anarchy Online, they've decided to give away something a little more lasting... their very own in-game limited edition housing.

Today we bring you seven screenshots of this pre-order exclusive apartment. This spacious pad includes several rooms, including a japanse-style living room, bathroom with roman tub and a luxurious bedroom - all with a captivating view of the rest of Jobe, the floating city in the sky. As you can see from the screenshots, there seems to be an emphasis on the social aspect of gameplay, a facet that many MMORPGs tend to overlook. Flashbacks of The Sims anyone?

Those who pre-order will receive an activiation code via email which will enable the apartment on their account.

Anarchy Online: Shadowlands is available for pre-order at GameStop, EB World and most other software specialist stores and online retailers. The expansion pack will retail for $29.99 USD and will be available on July 22, 2003. The game will also include the full version of the Anarchy Online client, the booster pack, Anarchy Online: The Notum Wars and one free month of gameplay.

There will be no additional charges to the current monthly subscription rates to play Anarchy Online: Shadowlands. Here are the current revolving subcription plans:

30 days: $12.95 USD
90 days: $33.95 USD
180 days: $59.95 USD

Stay tuned to RPGFan for Hands-On Impressions of Anarchy Online: Shadowlands in the weeks to come.
