Phantasy Star Collection Editor Review
07.12.03 - 2:13 AM

Veterans of RPGs pine for the olden days when the games were, "just better". Newcomers to this realm of gaming feel inadequate for not experiencing many of the classics. Unfortunately, often the only option available to these groups is a time-consuming search of used games stores and Ebay in hopes of finding these much sought-after games. Every once in a while, however, companies decide to re-release their old classics for the enjoyment of both veterans and newbies alike. Such is the case with Sega hit Phantasy Star. Released under the name Phantasy Star Collection, the series' first, second, and third incarnations have become available for the hungering fans that desire them. But do the new releases do justice to the classics? Editor John McCarroll has the answer.
