Koei Posts Impressive Financial Data

Koei has announced its financial data for the first three months of the current fiscal year. Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, ordinary profit rose by an impressive 74% to 1.3 billion yen (10.81 million USD). The main reason for Koei's strong first quarter performance were strong sales of its blockbuster title Shin Sangoku Musou 3 (Dynasty Warriors) in North America, Asia and Europe. The game easily passed the platinum mark in Japan following its release in its home market in late February.
