Konami Posts First Quarter Results
08.07.03 - 4:55 PM

Following the lead of other major companies, Konami has released its quarterly financial results today. On sales of 57.4 billion yen (477.50 million USD), Konami posted a consolidated net profit of 4.2 billion yen (34.94 million USD). Those numbers, which are far better than those of the same period of the last fiscal year, were reached mainly due to the continued success of Yu-Gi-Oh game software and trading cards. For the full fiscal year ending on March 31st 2004, Konami projects sales of 255.5 billion yen (2.13 billion USD) and a net profit of 14.5 billion yen (120.62 million USD). The company also expects to sell more than 20 million units of software for a third consecutive year.
