Electronic Arts' subsidary Origin System is currently working on the newest addition to the Ultima series, Ultima X: Odyssey for the PC platform. The title will make use of the newest version of the Unreal Engine and feature a so-called Odyssey Adventure System. This system will not only create customized quests automatically, but also offer private adventure zones. The fast-paced strategy battle system will allow for players to determine the level of aggressiveness and choose from various combat styles. It will be possible to form guilds and then challenge others in large-scale multiplayer guild battles. Characters, weapons, parties and guilds will all feature a high degree of customization.Ultima X: Odyssey will be available in early 2004.
