09.02.03 - 6:47 PM

Square Enix USA has announced that the sequel to its 2001 PlayStation 2 blockbuster Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2 will be available in the US in early December, carrying a retail price of $49.99 USD. This contradicts earlier unofficial reports speaking of an early November release date.
Furthermore, the company announced that Final Fantasy X has been added to Sony Computer Entertainment America's Greatest Hits series of budget titles, so the title is now available for 19.99 USD.

Final Fantasy X has sold 5.9 million copies worldwide since its July 19th, 2001 release, while Final Fantasy X-2 has sold two million copies in Japan since its March 13th, 2003 release.
