Square Enix has announced Front Mission 4 for PlayStation 2. The game will take place six years after the events of the original Front Mission. It will feature two main characters, Elsa and Daryl. The former yields from the French Army's Vancer unit and has been assigned to the new weapons technology research facility. She also has a very strong sense of justice. Daryl is a 32-year optimist, who used to be an excellent officer, but due to his constant quarrels with his commanders he since then been demoted. Recently he does not show any interest in working hard for the military anymore.Front Mission 4 will be available in Japan sometime this winter.
