Takara To Take Over Broccoli Later This Year

Takara has announced that it will take over Broccoli in November. The toy maker will acquire 10 million shares, or a 51.6% stake in Broccoli. If the share price of one Broccoli share on October 31st should be above 100 yen (86 cents US) then Takara will pay 95 yen (81 cents US) per share, if the share price is below 100 yen, then 95% of the respective price will be paid. The deal will be worth a maximum of 950 million yen (8.14 million US).
