Ubi Soft has announced plans to release an expansion pack to its MMORPG Shadowbane, this winter. Titled Shadowbane: Rise of Chaos, the expansion will boast many new and enhanced features, one of the most prominent being the inclusion of a new playable race called The Nephilim - half human, half bat creatures of darkness who have been corrupted by Chaos.In addition, the selection of classes will be expanded with the new Doomsayer and Sentinel classes. New disciplines, The Darksworn & The Conjurer, will also be featured. Also, one additional character slot will be available. Rounding out the new features are graphical enhancements said to increase the ambiance and add to the environment, such as improved skies, trees, and weather. Ubi Soft plans to begin beta testing soon in an effort to assure the game's winter release. Shadowbane: Rise of Chaos will carry a suggested retail price of $19.99.
