Following our story on the announcement of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and the two new Kingdom Hearts titles, we can now provide you with the first tidbits of information regarding the two sequels of last year's popular action RPG. The story of Kingdom Hearts II will begin one year after the previous game's ending. Players will begin their adventure in Twilight Town, a city which is constantly engulfed in darkness. Just like Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for Game Boy Advance, Kingdom Hearts II is listed as an RPG. Square Enix promises to the former will not look like a handhled title, however.
While Kingdom Hearts II for PlayStation 2 has yet to receive an official release date, it is reasonable enough not to expect a Japanese release prior to fall 2004. Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories will be available in Japan sometime next year.
