If you're looking forward to Square Enix's MMORPG Final Fantasy XI, you're in for a treat. Thanks to StarvingArtist from the Dreams in Vana'diel forums, we have 66 exclusive hi-res screen shots from the Japanese Windows version of the game, showing off gorgeous new locations and characters available in the Rise of the Zilart expansion. Head on over to our new gallery for the expansion to check 'em out.
In addition, we have 10 new (also exclusive) screen shots from the plain vanilla version of Final Fantasy XI, showing off characters, locations, and - most prominently - a battle with a King Behemoth. Any Final Fantasy fan will know Behemoths, as a rule, are creatures to be reckoned with.
Final Fantasy XI will be released on October 28th for Windows-based PCs, and early next year for the PlayStation2. The PS2 version will be bundled with the PS2 hard drive required to play the game, and retail for $99 US. Both PS2 and PC versions will come packaged with the Rise of the Zilart expansion.
