Nintendo has acquired a 2.6% stake in one of Japan's largest 3rd party publishers, Bandai.Under the agreement, the Kyoto-based 1st party publisher has bought a total of 1.26 million Bandai shares in late September. However, the company has denied initial reports suggesting that the acquisition was just the first step to take over Bandai entirely.
