New Baten Kaitos Details
10.23.03 - 4:01 AM

Namco has revealed additional information on its Monolith Soft-developed GameCube RPG Baten Kaitos - Owaranai Tsubasa to Ushinawareta Umi. The playable cast is being joined by Savyna, a 25-year old female hunter, who is suffering from reticence and almost never laughs. As far as non-playable characters are concerned, there are three additions: First is Corelli, a 17-year old priestess capable of telling the future. Calbren is the ruler of the Phantom City of Mira. The only way to reach this mysterious place, which is only visible at certain times, is to walk the Way of the Spirits. On Mira, the player will find strange places like Reverence, which feels like it is straight out of a picture book. Last but not least there is Miroda, the granddaughter of Calbren. She looks like an angel and is generally referred to as "Pure white Wing". She will help Xelha in her quest to find the End Magnus. Other locations that have been revealed are the spirit grove Nekton, where Kalas will meet the player (that is the spirit) for the first time; Parnasse, whose inhabitants produce nothing but sweets, as well as Balancoire, the hometown of Kalas.

Baten Kaitos - Owaranai Tsubasa to Ushinawareta Umi will be available in Japan on December 5th, carrying a price tag of 6,800 yen ($62.07 US).
