10.29.03 - 10:00 PM

The Turin, Italy-based development team of the free MMORPG PlaneShift today announced that the game's installed userbase has exceeeded 100,000 in a matter of just six months. The current build, code-named Molecular Blue, is just a technology preview released to test the base networking infrastructure. The open source project's 3D version has been in development since early 2001 and will support Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The next technology preview dubbed Crystal Blue will be available later this year, and the developers expect at least two more such releases before the game is approaching its completion.
