PlayOnline Reaches Userbase of 400,000
11.20.03 - 1:02 AM

Square Enix has announced that the userbase of its internet service PlayOnline has surpassed the 400,000 mark. Currently the main application running on PlayOnline is the company's PlayStation 2 and PC MMORPG Final Fantasy XI. The recent launch of the North American PC version of Final Fantasy XI added more than 100,000 new users to the existing Japanese userbase of 300,000 last month. Next year, two more high-profile titles (Ambrosia Odyssey and Front Mission Online) will become part of the service.
