01.20.04 - 6:58 PM

Square Enix USA has announced that the sequel to its most successful PlayStation 2 title Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, has passed the one million mark in the US. It took the game two months to reach platinum status. Following its March 2003 release in Japan, the first-ever sequel to a main installment of Square Enix's flagship series sold 1.97 million copies. On February 19th, a new version based on the US release (though also featuring new content not available in the US version) titled Final Fantasy X-2 International + Last Mission will be released in Japan.
