Square Enix USA has announced that it plans to release Star Ocean: Till The End of Time Director's Cut on this side of the Pacific, instead of the game's original version, explaining the recent delay. The updated version, which was released in Japan on January 29th, features new playable characters, costumes, dungeons and a versus mode. Obviously, the Director's Cut - contrary to the original Japanese release - does not contain the famous bug which resulted in the first generation of PlayStation 2s freezing during the game.
Star Ocean: Till The End of Time will be available in the US sometime in August.
In further Square Enix-related news, the company has now officially confirmed the US release of Front Mission 4 for PlayStation 2, taking place sometime in June.
