Nihon Falcom to Enter Chinese Cellphone Market

Nihon Falcom has announced a cooperation with Net Village, a major player in the Chinese cellphone market. The subject of today's agreement is the April release of two cellphone-based titles tentatively called Ys World and Eiyuu Densetsu World (Legend of Heroes) in China. The country currently boasts 270 million cellphones and more than 35 million PHS units. Nihon Falcom hopes to capitalize on the brand recognition of its two most popular franchises and recent user demand for richer content following the introduction of a new generation of cellphones.
