Kingdom Hearts Reaches Worldwide Sales of Four Million Copies

Square Enix has revealed that total sales numbers of its 2002 action RPG Kingdom Hearts for PlayStation 2 have exceeded four million copies worldwide. The game (including the release of Kingdom Hearts Final Mix in December 2002) has sold 1.23 million copies in Japan, two million copies in the US and 820,000 copies in Europe. Two sequels, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for Game Boy Advance and Kingdom Hearts II for PlayStation 2 are currently in development.
