Dragon Quest V Shipment Tops 1.5 Million Units

Square Enix has shipped more than 1.5 million copies of Dragon Quest V: Tenguu no Hanayome for PlayStation 2 to retailers across Japan. This makes the Arte Piazza-developed title the best-selling Dragon Quest remake to date. Sales figures are not lacking far behind, as 1.4 million out of the 1.5 million shipped copies have already been sold.

Dragon Quest I and II, Super Famicom, 1993, 1.20 million copies
Dragon Quest III: Soshite Densetsu he, Super Famicom, 1996, 1.40 million copies
Dragon Quest I and II, GameBoy, 1999, 730,000 copies
Dragon Quest III: Soshite Densetsu he, GameBoy Color, 2000, 750,000 copies
Dragon Quest IV: Michibikareshi Monotachi, PlayStation One, 2001, 1.2 million copies
