Square Enix Releases Projections for Fiscal Years 2003/2004

Square Enix has released updated projections for the fiscal year 2003/2004, which ended on March 31st. Sales are now expected to reach 63 billion yen ($581.5 million US), compared to previous estimates of 56 billion yen ($516.89 million US). In the meantime, the company forecasts a net profit of 8.7 billion yen ($80.3 million US), instead of the originally expected 8.1 billion yen ($74.77 million US). Square Enix cited strong sales of packaged and online software as well as the continued success of its publishing division as main reasons behind the better-than-expected forecast.
