05.07.04 - 12:15 PM

Sega has announced a DVD conversion of the Sega Saturn adventure Shin Seiki Evangelion (Neon Genesis Evangelion), based on Gainax's cult anime series of the same name. The interactive DVD will be published by King Records and run on standalone DVD players, PC DVD drives as well as the PlayStation 2. By using the DVD player's remote control or another input device, players will be able to input their selections throughout the course of the game. To win battles the right timing of pressing a button will be essential. Sega will enhance the title's visual quality to DVD level and also make improvements in the sound and scenario departments. PlayStation 2 users will need a DVD driver version 2.02 or higher to run the DVD. It will however not run on Xbox consoles, even with the DVD replay kit.

Shin Seiki Evangelion for DVD will be released on June 2nd for 4,800 yen ($43.73 US).
