E3: First PSP Titles Announced
05.12.04 - 6:08 PM

Just like Nintendo's press conference centered around its DS handheld, Sony Computer Entertainment America president Kaz Hirai's presentation was focused on his company's entry into the handheld market, the PSP. After revealing the exact specifications for the system and the final design, the SCEA president talked about the games: So far more than 100 third parties are already supporting the PSP. Not so surprisingly, Japanese companies are the most active supporters of the platform (34 companies) followed by their American (23) and European (23) counterparts. Interestingly enough, 19 Korean companies have already signed up for PSP development as well. Following the conference, Sony Computer Entertainment Japan released a list of titles which have been confirmed for a Japanese release. Below you will find a run-down of games that have been announced so far:

Ys: Napishtim no Kou (tentative), Konami, action RPG
Untitled Game, Square Enix, TBA
Tenken Chimon (tentative), Sony Computer Entertainment, action RPG
T.O.E., Namco, RPG
