Phantasy Star Trilogy on PS2 In North America
06.05.04 - 7:03 PM

Conspiracy Games announced quite awhile ago their intent to publish a handful of the Sega Ages series of games in North America, including the PS2 remake of the original Phantasy Star. In a quiet update to their games page, the previous listing of Phantasy Star with a 2004 release has been changed to a title named "Sega Ages: Phantasy Star Trilogy" set for an early 2005 release.

It's an odd bit of news, considering the other two remakes (the second and fourth game; the third isn't being remade, which should be fine with most fans) have yet to even be revealed in Japan, let alone given release dates. If Conspiracy Games' estimate is accurate, it could mean both Phantasy Star II and IV will be out in Japan this year, and North American gamers can now look forward to getting all three remakes, instead of just one.

More as it develops.
