Square Enix Releases Final Fantasy XI Survey

Square Enix has released the fourth Vana'diel Census, a survey about its popular online MMORPG Final Fantasy XI. As previously reported, the number of registered users in Japan and North America passed the 500,000 mark earlier this year. The number of registered characters has reached 1.2 million, or 3-4 characters per Japanese user and 1-2 per North American user. With 51.86%, Warrior is easily the most popular job class in the game, followed by Red Mage (9.73%), White Mage (9.14%), Monk (9.00%) and Black Mage (7.24%). The most popular main and support job combinations are White Mage - Black Mage (13.04%), Black Mage - White Mage (8.98%) and Warrior - Monk (5.55%). As far as races are concerned, male Humes (20.09%) are still the most popular choice followed by male Tarutaru (16.88%) and male Elvaan (15.19%). The number of active Linkshells during the 24-hour examination period was 40,573, or 1.358 linkshells per world.
