Third Famicom Mini Series Announced
07.08.04 - 10:04 PM

Nintendo has announced a third Famicom Mini series of ports. The ten games will all be ports of Disk System games. The Disk System was an add-on designed to overcome the memory limit of Famicom ROMs in 1986. It was never released outside Japan, as Nintendo found a more cost efficient way to deal with the memory issue later. Among the ten Game Boy Advance ports will be Link no Bouken (Zelda II: The Adventures of Link). Following the new editions' release, Nintendo will halt the productions of the current second series.

The third Famicom Mini series will be released in Japan on August 10th. Each title will be available for 2,000 yen ($18.44 US).
