07.09.04 - 12:54 PM

Square Enix has announced that the sequel to its popular action RPG Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Akaki Elixir no Akuma for PlayStation 2 will be released in Japan on August 27th. Accessory maker Hori is planning a simultaneous release of an original Hagane no Renkinjutsushi 2 memory card.

The original game, Hagane no Renkinjutsushi: Tobenai Tenshi (Full Metal Alchemist and the Broken Angel), which was released in Japan last December and has since sold about 250,000 copies, will hit North American retail store shelves sometime in spring 2005.
