Square Enix Announces Front Mission Online Beta Test Details

Square Enix has revealed new details regarding the first Japanese beta testing phase for its next PlayOnline title, Front Mission Online. Starting today, fans interested in participating in the beta can submit their application via the official website by following the link provided below before August 27th. Applicants need to have an email address other than their cellphone email address, PlayStation 2 hardware including a Broadband unit, a broadband internet connection and a PC with an internet browser (Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 or higher) installed, so they can report any problems to the company. Optional input devices supported by the game will be the USB-compatible keyboard and mouse. While Front Mission Online will be available for both PlayStation 2 and PC platform, the upcoming beta test is exclusively for the PlayStation 2 version. This first beta test will commence sometime this fall.

Front Mission Online will be available in Japan sometime in early 2005.
