Suikoden IV Sells 180,000 Copies in Japan

Following the release of Suikoden IV, two titles from Konami are sitting on top the Japanese sales charts this week. While the soccer simulation Winning Eleven 8 is moving closer to the platinum mark on spot two, the fourth installment of the company's popular RPG series claimed the top spot of the charts. In the first three days within its August 19th release, Suikoden IV has sold 185,962 copies. On spot three, Banpresto's Game Boy Advance sequel Summon Night: Kraftnot Monogatari 2 sold 52,053 copies during its first week on sale. Nintendo's GameCube title Paper Mario 2 sold 24,734 copies and a total of 322,115 copies. On spot ten, Square Enix's newest remake compilation of Final Fantasy I and II sold another 15,020 copies to bring its total to 232,436 copies.
