Lord of the Rings: The Third Age Gold
10.27.04 - 3:29 PM

Electronic Arts announced today that their upcoming RPG, Lord of the Rings: The Third Age has gone gold. Announced for release on the Playstation 2, Gamecube, and Xbox, The Third Age allows players to step into the shoes of new characters in Middle Earth. Players have control in creating their own path as they meet up with the Fellowship from New Line Cinema's film trilogy. The Third Age will also allow players to play certain scenes as evil characters for a view of the other side.

A Strategy RPG is also being released for the Game Boy Advance under the same title. The Third Age GBA will allow players to engage in battles with upward of forty total characters on the field. The Game Boy Advance version is developed by Griptonite Games.
