Square Enix Mobile Planning Before Crisis FFVII Release
10.29.04 - 4:21 PM

In an interview given at the CITA trade show, Chris Ruff, vice president of marketing and product management at Square Enix subsidiary UIEvolution commented on plans to bring the company's polymorphic content vision to the US. To that ends, UIEvolution has already developed development tools for PlayStation 2, PC and cellphone platforms, allowing players using the various platforms to communicate with each other. He did not confirm a cellphone-based Final Fantasy XI application, but mentioned that Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII would be released in North America once the technology is available. According to Ruff, this might be the case in 9 to 12 months.
