Idea Factory Announces Tenkuu Danzai Skelter Heaven
11.09.04 - 1:32 AM

Idea Factory has announced the newest title to be published under its love adventure label IF Mate. Titled Tenkuu Danzai Skelter Heaven, the PlayStation 2 title puts the player in control of Atsuya Funagai, a 25-year old employee of AA Company. To counter an attack by an unknown type of enemy, that looks like a giant squid, the company has developed and deployed Skelters, new mechs capable of fighting the 272m tall enemies. Funagai's job is to train five girls to become these new robots' pilots: The serious Rin Ichikawa, the leader of the beginner level's class Misaki Kashima, the best student of the beginner's class Konomi Tamura, the shy and sporty Midori Matsumura and second level pilot Ayaka Matsumoto. Apart from the genre-typical story progression, the game will also feature a so-called Interactive Command Assist battle system. Flying in your Skelter, you will have to press various buttons using the right timing in order to help your young pilots defeat the giant squids. Depending on your performance in the Interactive Command Assist and Funagai's relationship to the five girls, the story will progress differently. To let you review all the CG sequences featured in the game, it will be possible to access a CG album. Skelter Heaven's main theme "Naked Heart" will be performed by Minori Chihara, who has previously already worked as a voice actress for Idea Factory.

Tenkuu Danzai Skelter Heaven will be released in Japan on November 25th. The standard version will be available for 6,800 yen ($64.53 US), while the limited edition carries a retail price of 8,800 yen ($83.51 US). It will come with an artbook, a drama CD and an animation scenario book.
