Dragon Quest VIII Bonus DVD to Include Code Age Teaser

Included in the Dragon Quest VIII: Sora to Umi to Daichi to Norowareshi Himegimi box was a DVD containing a trailer for Code Age. Square Enix registered this title as a trademark several months ago, but no information had surfaced until last week's release of Dragon Quest VIII. The teaser trailer on the DVD does not give away a lot of specifics either, but at least confirms the involvement of Yusuke Naora in the project. The prolific designer has recently acted as art director of Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and assumed the duty of character designer in the two most recent SaGa installments, UNLIMITED: SaGa and Romancing SaGa: Minstrel Song for PlayStation 2. While the trailer hints at comic-style designs remeniscent of the SaGa series and the narration speaks of evolution first in broader terms and then more specifically about post-human creatures whose story the game will tell, no additional information has been provided at this point. Code Age is referred to as a "New Concept Brand" by Square Enix.Code Age has yet to receive an official release date.
