FunCom Offers Anarchy Online For Free

FunCom announced today that they will be offering the original Anarchy Online for free download and play for all members registering before January 15, 2005. The game will be free to play until 2006, but will not feature any of the content from the expansions. Players who wish to upgrade to content featured with Notum Wars, Shadowlands, and Alien Invasion will need to purchase the expansions and pay the standard monthly fee. Anyone new to Anarchy Online will be able to register without a credit card. Former Anarchy Online players will need to re-register in order to take part in this offer.

FunCom, publisher of Anarchy Online, has recently released Anarchy Online: Alien Invasion, the third expansion. The game will be free to download until January 15th at FunCom's homepage. You can read RPGFan's coverage of last year's Shadowlands here.
