GameOn Announces Red Stone Launch Details
01.13.05 - 12:58 AM

GameOn has announced that the closed beta testing phase of its free MMORPG Red Stone will end on 10:30 AM JST on January 20th. Five hours later, the finished game will go online. Just like the beta test, playing the finished product will be free of charge. Furthermore, there will be no limitations as far as the number of users is concerned. However, similar to MindArk's Project Entropia, purchasing items in Red Stone will cost real-world money.

To prepare for the upcoming launch, the development team has deployed a new server called Blue Sapphire to complement the existing Red Emerald server. The former is aimed at light users, while Red Emerald's higher dropping rate of rare items makes it more attractive to heavy users. Furthermore, two new characters are available starting today. The bishop is good at short range combat as well as casting healing and support magic. The Fallen Angel is a well-balanced character, capable of targetting enemies from a longer range with various skills or telekinesis.

Red Stone will be officially available in Japan on January 20th.
