01.26.05 - 12:12 AM

At a press conference in Tokyo today, GungHo Online Entertainment highlighted its plans for the new year. Company president Kazuki Morishita did not only detail the schedule for upcoming updates of Ragnarok Online, but also announced a new MMORPG project, titled Codename:GO. This new title is being developed by the studio behind Grandia and Lunar, GameArts. GungHo is GameArts' second-largest shareholder, holding a 11.93% stake in the development company since last year. While details regarding Codename: GO were not disclosed today, GungHo is studying a possible release overseas.

As far as Ragnarok Online is concerned, a total of three major updates, featuring among others new maps, a reincarnation and an adoption system as well as higher level caps will be introduced during the first half of 2005.
